The Holy Sacrament of Confession and Communion with the Body and Blood of our Savior, Jesus Christ

Although I am not a theologian, I chose to make a small post about the Holy Sacrament of Confession and the Communion with the body and blood of the Savior, Jesus Christ, in order to bring once again to mind their immense importance for our physical, but especially spiritual life. Before sacrificing Himself on the cross, the Son of God, Jesus Christ, instituted, at the Last Supper, the Eucharist, or the Communion with His body and blood:

Matthew 26: 26-28

During the meal Jesus took some bread in his hands. He blessed the bread and broke it. Then he gave it to his disciples and said, “Take this and eat it. This is my body.”
Jesus picked up a cup of wine and gave thanks to God. He then gave it to his disciples and said, “Take this and drink it.
This is my blood, and with it God makes his agreement with you. It will be poured out, so that many people will have their sins forgiven.

Also, after His resurrection, Jesus gave the apostles the Holy Spirit and the power to forgive and retain people's sins. Starting from the apostles, this is still performed today, through the Holy Sacrament of Ordination (through the laying on of hands and the prayer of the hierarch, divine grace is imparted to men who have prepared themselves for this, which gives the power to preach the word of God, to perform the church regulations, and to lead the faithful to salvation).

John 20: 21-23

After Jesus had greeted them again, he said, “I am sending you, just as the Father has sent me.”
Then he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.
If you forgive anyone's sins, they will be forgiven. But if you don't forgive their sins, they will not be forgiven.”

In the Orthodox Church, confession and communion are closely linked, as it is not permitted to receive communion without first confessing. However, the relationship between them is not 1 to 1, as multiple confessions are permitted without receiving communion after each one.

Many times, when I confessed, I received help from the Lord, through His Grace, strengthening me both physically and spiritually. Therefore, I recommend with all my love and warmth that each of you not delay a single second, but go and find a spiritual father through whom you can confess your sins before Christ.

God bless!
