Indulging in this life of laziness and carelessness
"And if anyone indulges in this life in idleness and carelessness, and does not deliberately avoid all worldly desires and does not seek the Lord alone with his whole soul, such a one gets entangled in the thorns and briers of this world, and burns his bodily garment with the fire of desires and defiles it with the mud of caresses. Such a soul will be without boldness on the day of judgment, because he could not keep his garment undefiled, but spoiled it with the deceits of this age. For this reason, he will be cut off from among the (sons of) the Kingdom."
Saint Macarius the Great
