Live cleanly, not for image, but for the salvation of the soul
Instead, what truly remains is your relationship with God. He never forgets. He sees every thought, every deed, every tear, and every prayer. He does not look at appearances, but at the heart. He does not appreciate the noise of the world, but the sincerity of the soul.
Therefore, wisdom is not to live for the eyes of men, but for the eyes of God. Let us not measure our lives by applause, but by the peace of the heart. Because true peace comes when you know that you are in His will.
It does not mean to distance ourselves from people or to stop loving, but to stop depending on their judgment. To do good not for praise, but out of love. To forgive not because we are appreciated, but because God has taught us to forgive. To live cleanly, not for image, but for the salvation of the soul.
Life is short, and time is a gift. It is not worth wasting it trying to please everyone. We will not succeed anyway. But if we put God first, then everything falls into place. The heart calms down, the soul strengthens, and the path becomes clearer.
Let us therefore approach God with sincerity. Let us tell Him our joys and sorrows. Let us ask for His help every day, and let us not forget that He is our true support.
At the beginning of the weekend, let us put our worries aside and rest not only our body, but also our soul. Let us seek peace, prayer, and gratitude. Let us spend time with our loved ones and remember what really matters.
“Lord, help us not to seek vain glory, but to live in Your light. Give us peace in our hearts and wisdom in our thoughts. Protect us and all people.”
Saint John Chrysostom leaves us a profound word that awakens our souls: if we understood how fleeting people’s memory of us is, we would not work so hard to seek their praise, but would direct our lives to pleasing God.
