Saved from poisoning by the sign of the Holy Cross - the miracle of the man delivered from death and poverty


From the life of Saint John the Theologian we know, my beloved children, that one of the good Christians fell into poverty and, unable to pay his debts, wanted to end his life. For this purpose, he went several times to a Jewish sorcerer to take poison from him. But every time he got home, before drinking it, he marked it with the sign of the Cross, after which he drank the poison. And the power of the sign of the Cross kept him alive and unharmed. When this became known to the Jewish sorcerer, he was seized with holy fear, came to the great Apostle John the Theologian, renounced paganism, accepted the Christian faith and was baptized.

And the Holy Apostle John asked the poor Christian to bring him an armful of hay, marked this hay with the sign of the Cross, turned it into a pile of gold, which he gave to the poor man to pay his debts and support himself.

Prayer - the key to another world

Since I discovered prayer, I can say that I have found myself again, but not in any way, but much stronger . Prayer is the key to God's world, a world full of love, freedom, patience, mercy, forgiveness, hope, faith , and other wonderful qualities. A world in which I certainly want to live, as well as all those close to me (including those who are asleep), and not only (but since I am not the one who decides on behalf of others, all I can do is pray for them). This world of prayer is not an imaginary one, but one as concrete as possible. A world in which God, the Mother of God, and the saints listen to our prayers and, if they are useful to us, at the right time, they are also fulfilled. Prayers to the Mother of God and to the saints are intercessory prayers, in which we ask them to intercede for us before the Lord Jesus Christ, so that He, in His omniscience, may decide whether or not to fulfill the prayers addressed to Him by us.
